Ring Mekanikk of Norway
Ring Mekanikk of Norway was faced with the challenge of cutting the weight of passenger seats for the Gardemoen line from 70 kg to 30 kg.
By using extra high strength steels in a balanced combination with other materials, Ring Mekanikk was able to meet the weight demand while also making the seats stiffer and stronger. For Ring Mekanikk, the development of the seat represented an important technical advance.
