Amaron International
Ameron of Netherlands has created an entirely original tubular product for the petrochemical industry. By combining the properties of ultra high strength steels with those of a composite material, Ameron has developed a tube that can withstand very high pressures.
The combination of several layers of thin ultra high strength steel sheet and glass fibre reinforced composite is a very competitive alternative from the safety, cost, handling and assembly aspects. Moreover, the wall thickness of the tube can easily be adjusted to meet different requirements. The benefits of the materials are also put to use in the production of the tubes. The need for welding is eliminated by wrapping the steel sheet and composite in a spiral pattern with a certain amount of overlap.
