Finnveden Sheet Metal Components and Volvo Car Corporation of Sweden have been nominated for their Volvo XC90 rear seat frame.
The designers have achieved a dramatic reduction in weight and have made efficient and creative use of the properties of different types of extra and ultra high strength steel. The decrease in weight has in no way impaired the seat’s safety level in the event of a collision.
