1 min readSchukra Manufacturing of Canada has been nominated for its improved back support for chairs. The enhancement has been made possible by changing to ultra high strength steel, combined with a radical redesign.
Previous designs have involved joining together a large number of parts, which have now been replaced by a single part. This has removed the need for joining and has resulted in a significant weight reduction and a twentyfold increase in productivity. Safety and function enhancements have also been made.
