The Inspiration Day in Stockholm is all about inspiring you to different views on this year’s theme – Leading the way. We want to hear from those leading the way and the program holds three perspectives; global, business and individual – presented through inspiration seminars, interviews and panel discussions. You will meet international external key note speakers, representatives from SSAB and many more. Also, the Swedish Steel Prize finalists will be presented and interviewed. During the day, there will be entertainment, lunch and coffee breaks. You will have the possibility to engage with other professionals and to visit an exhibition.

Marcus Wandt is a Swedish astronaut, fighter pilot, and pioneering leader in aerospace innovation. As an ESA (European Space Agency) project astronaut, he became the first Swede in space since 2006, making history aboard the International Space Station (ISS) during the Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3). Lord Adair Turner

Lord Adair Turner

Lord Turner chairs the Energy Transitions Commission, a global coalition of companies, NGOs and experts working to achieve a net zero economy by 2040.

He advises regularly climate and government bodies - including the COP Presidency and ministers in the EU, UK, China and Australia, and is often featured in global media such as The Financial Times, Economist, BBC, CNN and Bloomberg.

During his public policy career, Lord Turner chaired the Financial Services Authority (2008-2013) where he played a lead role in the redesign of global financial regulation. From 2008 to 2012 he led the Climate Change Committee, an independent body overseeing the UK’s government on their path to a net-zero; and his recommendations as chair of the Pensions Commission (2002-2006) proved transformative for the UK pensions system. He also chaired the Low Pay Commission (2002-2006) and was Director General of the Confederation of British Industry (1995-2000).  

In addition, Lord Turner holds several roles in industry: he is the Chair of insurer group Chubb Europe and of UK bank Oaknorth Ltd.; he is on the Board of AESC Japan, the manufacturers of batteries for electric vehicles.
